MightyOak were asked to landscape the garden of this newly-built home in Ely, Cambridgeshire.
As a new build, this project was a complete blank canvas.
Working closely with the client, we were able to create an impressive space filled with colour.
Raj Natural Sandstone was an ideal choice, matching the colour and texture of the surrounding area.
The drainage was gap filled with scotch pebbles; a good match against the slab and brick work.
The patio was edged with Raj sett stones.
With the patio complete, it was time to turf.
MightyOak came up with a planting scheme that was both colourful and low maintenance.
These included hebes, skimmias and heucheras.
Bay ball trees and bordering lavender planted at the front of the property.
All shrubs and trees were provided by SImpson’s Nursery Ltd.
This garden was completely cleared in order to create a patio area with a newly laid lawn.
Raj Green Sandstone was laid in a mixed pattern.
The first stage of the job was to clear the whole garden of unwanted shrubs, old slabs and rotten decking.
The mixed colours of the natural stone slabs made for an immediate and striking improvement.
Top soil was added to bring up the level of the ground.
After a few rolls of turf the job was complete.
This garden had a drop in level from the lawn to the house. A sleeper wall with stepped areas was an ideal solution.
